- Each contribution must be sponsored by a member of a local chapter of FAHU who shall be, whenever possible, responsible for personally delivering the contribution. Contributions may be delivered by the FAHU contracted lobbyist.
- The sponsoring member or other local chapter member shall also be responsible for maintaining contact with such candidate personally or through other members of the local chapter or FAHU. If the FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER check is not personally delivered by the sponsoring member or the local legislative chair, a follow-up visit should be carried out within a month of contribution made.
One week should be allowed for requests for contributions to b reviewed and voted on by the FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER board and notice of approval/disapproval, and if approved, contribution checks sent to the sponsoring member, local chapter legislative chair, or the FAHU lobbyist. The FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER board will pursue faster turnaround in most all cases.
- In the event of the original sponsoring members absence or separation from the local chapter, another member of the local chapter must be assigned to the candidate as the “sponsoring” member and contact person.
- The FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER Treasurer will prepare status and/or financial reports for the FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER Chairman/President to present to the FAHU Board at all FAHU board meetings.
- FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER Annual Reports will be prepared by the Treasurer before the end of July of each year and distributed to Board members within thirty (30) days of completion.
- All members of the FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER Board must be members in good standing of both the FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITERS CCE and FAHU.
- The FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER Chairman/President will set the dates, times, places, and methods (in person, telephone, email) of the meeting to discuss and/or vote on the approval or disapproval of the contribution request for candidates. A majority of the FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER board members present at the meeting are needed to approve a request for a contribution. For the sole purpose of voting, on the approval or disapproval of a contribution request for candidates, no less then four (4) FLORIDA HEALTH UNDERWRITER board members, must be in attendance to establish a quorum.
